Finding home is a complex, intricate process. What happens once you do though?

Sometimes finding home is all you need to do. You rent/buy a property that is move in ready. You receive your keys at closing, show up with the moving truck the following day, and by dark you're sitting on the couch enjoying your new home. What happens if your new home, isn't move in ready?
